Glendora Vegetarian Club

Dr. Neal Barnard is a Physician who perspicaciously discerns the folly of exploiting animals for training doctors for medical research for consumption, inter alia. His association, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, has financed virulent ads on TV, radio, newspaper and bus shelters in the Washington, D.C area, to get people to stop eating bacon, because it is a cause of colon cancer. “The message is, `Bacon is the new tobacco.’ The ads focused especially on communities hit hardest by colorectal cancer. The colorectal cancer rate in poorer neighborhoods is triple that of wealthier areas. “There is also a marked racial disparity, with rates among African Americans in the district nearly triple that for whites.”, the committee reports.  The next meeting of the Glendora Vegetarian Club will be at the Masola Restaurant, Rtes. 9 and 20, near Hannaford, 6:00pm, May 29, 2019.

A boy asked his sister, “what is a virgin?” She said, “a virgin is a woman who eats all of her vegetables.”
