Food Trucks at Church of the Covenant UM
There will, once again, be a wonderful aroma wafting over Averill Park on Tuesday, July 12th ! Livin’ the Dream, Heisenburgers and DiFolco’s Roaming Occasions will be cooking up their specialties in the upper lot of the Church of the Covenant from 4:00-7:00 for take out or to enjoy at outdoor seating with neighbors, friends and family. Homemade desserts will be for sale and entertainment provided. There will be indoor seating if the weather does not cooperate.
Handicapped parking will be available off Orient Ave. with general parking in the lower lot
Christmas in July Continues
Come to Thrift Shop at Church of the Redeemer to celebrate Christmas in July. Get a jump start on shopping for decorations, gift wrap, and even gifts for the holiday season. Thrift Shop will be open on Saturday, July 2 and July 16 from 9-2 and on Thursdays from 3-6.
Sunday service, July 3, is at 9:00. All are welcome to attend and to stay following the service for coffee hour and socializing.
Hot Mess Crafters meets on Wednesday at 10 AM.
Bible Study is back on Wednesday, July 6 at 4:00. We will be studying Max Lucado’s “You Were Made for the Moment” which explores the Book of Esther.
The Church of the Redeemer is an Episcopal church located on CDTA bus route #214 at the corner of Third and Catherine Streets. There is handicap parking, a ramp in front, and a parking lot in the rear.

Strawberry-Rhubarb Pies for Sale!
First Reformed Church of Wynantskill has homemade Strawberry-Rhubarb pies for sale for $15 each. The pies are frozen and ready to be baked at your convenience. Indoor Yard Sale at Church of the Covenant UM
Our Rummage Sale was a huge success! Thank you all! Now itis time to get ready for our Indoor Yard Sale, July 22 and 23, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm with a $3 bag sale Saturday at noon. We will begin accepting donations Sunday July 10th after 11:00 am, through Wednesday, July 20th 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Items we are looking for include, but not limited to: housewares, toys, games, artwork, tools, holiday decorations, books, dvds, candles, baskets, sports gear and more. Transfiguration Parish-Wide Garage Sale
Transfiguration Parish is once again having its blow out garage sale at the Parish Hall, 50 Hillview Drive, Speigletown. Dates are Friday July 15th and Saturday July 16th from 8am – 4pm.
This year we are also having a preview sale on Thursday July 14th from 4pm-8pm ($5 admission). Be the first to view all the great deals. 100’s of items, including antiques, glassware, linens, household items, furniture, small appliances, toys and more will be available. The Book Nook will also be open with a wide variety of books for all ages and interests, with special deals on well- known authors such as Nora Roberts, Danielle Steel, James Patterson and many more.
A $5 a bag sale for all the books you can fit, will also be offered on a large number of books. Please come and check us out. If you can, we ask that you bring your own bags to carry home your special finds!
Support for Parents of Children with Disabilities
BRUNSWICK – Do you have a child with various disabilities or other needs? You are cordially invited to participate in a support group from the comfort of your own home! This is an opportunity to share concerns, insights, and resources to help navigate through both rewarding and challenging times. The host is Connie Vooys, a former special education teacher and mother to a special needs child.
The group meets via zoom on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM, and is open to all parents and caregivers without regard to geographic or religious boundaries. If you are interested, please write to office@nullbrunswickchurch.org and Connie will send you an online link to the group and answer any questions you may have. Sometimes a bit of encouragement makes all the difference!
Cancer Support Group
BRUNSWICK – There are very few of us who have not been affected by cancer, either as a patient, family member, or friend. If you are dealing with the stress of this disease for whatever reason, talking with others in similar circumstances can be very beneficial.
A warm invitation is extended to attend a Zoom cancer support group, led once a month (the third Monday) by retired pastor Ted Wright, he himself a cancer patient. If you have any questions or would like the zoom link, please contact Ted at twright@nullbrunswickchurch.org.
This is a ministry in conjunction with Brunswick Church at 42 White Church Lane (just off Rt. 351). Our worship services are Sundays at 9:30 AM and all are welcome. Church participation is not required to have cancer support.
