Assistant Pastor Called to Clearview C&MA Church

The Clearview Christian & Missionary Alliance Church is welcoming a new Assistant Pastor, Joel Geer, with his wife, Laura and their son, Josiah. The Geers will be joining in ministry at the church beginning in mid-June.

Joel was raised in Camden County, New Jersey. Called to the ministry at an early age, he had dedicated his life to the Lord and to His service. That call that would be confirmed many times through the people around him and through opportunities he was given to serve in Christian ministry. Motivated by his calling, Joel attended Nyack College, in Nyack, NY, graduating in 2011 with a degree in Bible and Theology.

In the summer of 2009, Joel met his wife, Laura, at a summer retreat in Ocean City, NJ, where it was love at first sight! One year later, to the day, they were engaged, and the following year, to the day, they were married.

The public is invited to welcome the Geers to our area at an Open House to be held at Clearview C&MA Church, 275 Schodack Drive, Castleton, NY, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 30th, at the church. For those who wish to stay, there will be an Installation Service at 4:00 PM, followed by a dinner. You may contact the church at 518-732-2027.

God is Good!

BIBLE POINT: Bible points for each day walk through the story of God’s chosen people, the Israelites, to remind your VBS kids again and again that God is good! On Day 1, your kids will meet “Mack,” the white rhinoceros who, through the story of the Israelites enslaved in Egypt, will help kids remember that God is good even when life is unfair. Day 2 introduces “Hooper,” an African hoopoe bird to share about the plagues and reinforce that, when life is scary, God is good. Day 3 brings the story of the Israelites in the wilderness told by “Marge” the cape buffalo, reminding kids of God’s goodness when life goes through changes. “Zion” the Lion helps kids see that even when they’re sad, God’s goodness is still. Day 4 is connected to the Gospel message of Jesus death and resurrection. Finally, on Day 5, “Savanna” the giraffe stands tall with the message that when life is good, God is good, just as he was when the Israelites built a memorial in the desert.

“At Roar, kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wildlife.”
