Clothing Rummage Sale
AVERILL PARK – It’s time for the Clothing Rummage Sale at the Church of the Covenant, United Methodist, located at 3055 Rte 43 in Averill Park. Sale dates are Fri and Sat June 11 & 12, 9 am – 2 pm with a $3 & $5 bag sale Sat noon – 2 pm.
We will gladly welcome your donations of clean, gently-loved clothing and footwear for the whole family. We also accept linens, pillows, bedding, curtains, towels, pocketbooks, bags, etc., as well as fabric, sewing equipment and notions.
Donations may be brought to the church Tue, June 1st through Wed, June 9th.
We kindly ask that you wear a mask and hand sanitizer will be available. Thank you for your cooperation!

Gilead Lutheran Summer Services
CENTER BRUNSWICK – Gilead Lutheran Church will be holding worship services in a beautiful outdoor setting, overlooking a pond, allowing time for you to “ponder” this week’s message. It is not unusual to see Canada Geese families walk from the pond and lay on the lawn to take a gander at our service. This takes place each Sunday morning beginning June 6, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. We also offer Communion each week. The church is located at the intersection of Routes 7 and 278 in Center Brunswick. In the event of inclement weather, we will move inside. You may remain in your car and listen to the service on FM radio station 107.5 or bring a chair to sit outside your vehicle. Brunswick Church Vacation Bible School
TROY – Brunswick Church 42 White Church Lane Troy will hold VBS from 9-12 on July 5-9. It is free to all children age 4 through finished grade 5. The theme is Rocky Railway, Jesus’ Power Will Pull Us Through. Activities will include crafts, games, fun songs, skits, snacks, Bible stories and mission opportunities. Vacation Bible School at First United Methodist Church
EAST GREENBUSH – 1 Gilligan Rd. East Greenbush. Is your child in the grades ranging from K–12? Would you like your child to be part of Vacation Bible School (VBS)? We will host VBS every Wednesday from 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM with dinner included. The program will run from June 23 through July 28. We will provide a program for different age groups, and you do not have to commit to each Wednesday, but please do sign up for the Wednesdays you’ll be here.
We are looking for meal sponsors for VBS this summer. We are looking for families or individuals that would like to either sponsor or make a dinner for the children, youth and volunteers. VBS is also looking for adult volunteers that might want to help with running the VBS program by either doing the art and crafts, games or story time.

Doors of Hope Food Pantry
WEST SAND LAKE – Are you in need of food? Rensselaer county residents are eligible to receive food assistance monthly from the Doors of Hope Food Pantry, located in the 43 Mall in West Sand Lake. Hours of food distribution are 9:00 A.M.- noon, Monday-Saturday. We offer a variety of food choices and assure confidentiality for all recipients.
