Gilead Church is “Renewing”

CENTER BRUNSWICK – Gilead Lutheran Church in Center Brunswick continues to serve the community in worship services and outreach. Both may be in a different manner, but we are here and we are using this new schedule to spruce up the church – inside and out. One might say “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”

Our dedicated members and staff are cleaning carpets, polishing floors, cleaning pews and some outside raking so the daffodils can poke through the ground. There is also a plan for some painting inside to spruce up a stairway – all within the “social distancing” rules. Our pastor has enabled us to set up on-line worship services, a Wednesday devotional and a breakfast with the pastor segment on Monday mornings. Our food pantry and dinners are still operating, but now with drive-up service, and an opportunity for a matching grant from the ELCA has been successful. Our next pantry/take-out dinner (meatloaf with sides) is May 28th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Our building may be closed, but we will be ready to welcome all members and those who would like to join us when the COVID-19 virus is less threatening. We are anxious to welcome all to our squeaky-clean sanctuary and fellowship hall. Please check out our web site at www.gileadlutheran.org or contact us with any questions at 518-279-9270.
