Poestenkill Garage Sale Sponsored by Poestenkill Lutheran Church
POESTENKILL – a Spring Garage Sale will be held on May 14th and 15th, from 9am to 2pm. This sale is sponsored by the Poestenkill Lutheran Church and the Heritage Center. You may rent a space in the parking lot, 1 or 2 days for your own sale – $10 a table. All donations are needed (pls no large appliances or clothing). Drop-off items after May lst in front of garage or on Heritage Center’s front porch. Thank you and we hope to see you!
Thrift Shop and Bible Study at Church of the Redeemer
RENSSELAER – Thrift Shop will be open on Saturday, May 15 from 9-2.
Sunday services on May 16 are at 8 and 9:30 with Vestry meeting at 8:50.There will be coffee hour following.
Hot Mess Crafters meets on Wednesday at 10 AM.
Bible Study is held on Wednesday at 4:00 in the church. Our video study is John Orthberg’s “If you want to walk on water, get out of the boat.”
Diocesan guidelines of wearing face masks which cover both the nose and the mouth, using hand sanitizer, and social distancing are followed at all church activities.
The Church of the Redeemer is an Episcopal church located on CDTA bus route #214 at the corner of Third and Catherine Streets. There is handicap parking, a ramp in front, and a parking lot in the rear.

Gilead Luthern Summer Services
CENTER BRUNSWICK – Gilead Lutheran Church will be holding worship services in a beautiful outdoor setting, overlooking a pond, allowing time for you to “ponder” this week’s message. It is not unusual to see a Canada Goose walk from the pond and lay on the lawn to take a “gander” at our service. They are God’s creatures, so all are welcome! This takes place each Sunday morning beginning June 6, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. We also offer Communion each week. The church is located at the intersection of Routes 7 and 278 in Center Brunswick. In the event of inclement weather, we will move inside. You may remain in your car and listen to the service on FM radio station 107.5 or bring a chair to sit outside your vehicle. Doors of Hope Food Pantry
WEST SAND LAKE – Are you in need of food? Rensselaer county residents are eligible to receive food assistance monthly from the Doors of Hope Food Pantry, located in the 43 Mall in West Sand Lake. Hours of food distribution are 9:00 A.M.- noon, Monday-Saturday. We offer a variety of food choices and assure confidentiality for all recipients.
