Gilead Lutheran Church Services
TROY – Gilead Lutheran Church building will remain closed through the month of April. Our pastors and deacon will provide a regular 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service online through Facebook and YouTube. There is a link on our website for both (www.gileadlutheran.org)
We will continue our mission of our monthly community dinner and food pantry (take-out only) on April 30th. This method worked well for March. Guests can drive up, stay in their cars, and workers were there to hand out dinners (chicken and biscuits) and pantry items. For questions, leave a message on our phone, 518-279-9270. Remember, the building is closed but we are worshipping and praising God through our hearts and mind.
Rummage Sale Cancelled
AVERILL PARK – Due to the coronavirus, the May Clothing Rummage Sale at Church of the Covenant in Averill Park is cancelled. Our annual June Indoor Yard Sale has been rescheduled for Fri & Sat July 17 & 18. Please watch The Advertiser for updates.

WEST SAND LAKE – Although the coronavirus emergency prevents us from gathering, the community of Salem Church continues to praise God in new ways. Worship at the Drive-In
TROY – Brunswick Church has announced an exciting partnership with the Hollywood Drive-In of Averill Park. Beginning Sunday, April 26 at 3 pm, they will host a Christian Worship Service at the Drive-In site. The church buildings were closed on March 16 for worship and group meetings per the recommendations of the state and federal government. Devotions and information has been share via the church website, YouTube Channel and Facebook page, but for faith community, gathering to worship is foundational. Drive-In proprietors Frank and Lori Fisher offered a way for the church to corporately gather without violating the social distancing standards imperative to the epidemic response.
The church has consulted with experts and will follow all suggested precautions. For example, those in attendance will be required to remain in their cars, park only in specific spots. The concession and other drive-in facilities will not be available.
