Hopes Kitchen Cancels April Meal

For reasons that are obvious to everyone Hopes Kitchen will not be serving a free community meal on Thursday April 9th. We hope to return for our May meal, but the final determination on that will be made later and posted here. Thanks for all your support, March was the high point of our ministry, serving over 94 dinners! It was a great way to wrap up our plan’s pre-corona virus. Be safe, be well, see you again soon. Hopes Kitchen Staff.

Center Brunswick UMC to offer Palms

BRUNSWICK – During this time of uncertainty and period of social distancing it doesn’t appear that we will be able to congregate for Palm Sunday Celebration. We would like to offer you the opportunity to pick up your palms on Sunday, April 5. We will have a station set up at the Jubilation Station entrance from 9:00 am to noon. We ask that if you know a shut in or neighbor who cannot get out, please take one to them. Pastor Joel will bless the palms and it is our way of staying connected with our church family. Wishing you a Blessed Easter as well. God be with you till we meet again!

Easter Celebration 2020 Cancelled

POESTENKILL – The 2020 Easter Program scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill, 772 Route 351, Poestenkill has been cancelled.

Gilead Lutheran Church Suspends
Services

CENTER BRUNSWICK – Gilead Lutheran Church will be heeding the advice of the Governor to avoid group gatherings. We also want to protect our congregation and have made the decision to close our church building from now through April 13th. Our pastors and deacon will provide a 10:30 Sunday worship service online through Facebook and YouTube and a Wednesday night devotion at 7:00 p.m. There is a link on our website for both. (www.gileadlutheran.org)

We will continue our mission of our monthly community dinner and food pantry (take-out only) for April. This method worked well for March. Guests could just drive up, stay in their cars, and workers were there to hand out the dinners and pantry items. For questions, leave a message on our phone, 518-279-9270. Remember, the building is closed but we are worshipping and praising God through our hearts and mind.
