EVERY SUNDAY – Worship services at 8:30 AM in the multi-purpose room; at 9:30 AM in the sanctuary; and at 1:00 PM at Hawthorne Ridge Independent Living, 30 Community Way, East Greenbush, NY.

Also, on the FIRST Sunday of each month, there is a worship service at 2:30 PM at Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, 90 North Main St., Castleton, NY 12033.  The next one is on March 3.

MONDAYS – Lent Book Study Group meets (see below for more information).

TUESDAYS – Lent Book Study Group meets at 9:30 AM.

BOOK STUDY PLANNED FOR LENT Starting Monday, March 4; and Tuesday, March 5, we begin a six-week study of John Ortberg’s Eternity is Now in Session.  Each week, in a small-group setting, we will review what we have read and cover one of the topics. The study sessions are approximately 90 minutes and are held in the youth lounge.  A donation of $10 is suggested for the book.

Wednesday, March 6 – Ash Wednesday Service at 7:00 PM

Sunday, March 10, at 10:45 AM – Daniel Cotton, chair of the Refugee and Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus (RISSE) Together Playground Team, will describe this spring’s project to provide a healthy, fun and attractive recreational space for the children in the Refugee and Immigrant Support Services after-school and summer programs. The playground project has brought together a diverse group of faith communities for a common goal.

 

Bishop John Macholz to preach at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church

The Congregation of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church welcomes Bishop John Macholz, of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Bishop Macholz will share the Word with us at our 11:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, February 24, 2019. St. Stephen’s Church, located at 751 County Route 7, in the hamlet of East Schodack holds worship services every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and welcomes everyone who is looking for comfort and strength in the Word of Our Lord.

Church of The Redeemer

On Sunday, February 24, Father Haskell will conduct services at 8:00 and 9:30. Services will be followed by coffee hour in the Hearth Room.

There will be a sign-up sheet for Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at Salisbury Place on Washington Ave., March 5, at 6:00. Supper is on your own, and eating pancakes is optional.

CRAFTING is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00. In the event of weather conditions, crafting may be suspended.

The Church of the Redeemer is located on CDTA bus route #214 at the corner of Third and Catherine Streets. There is handicapped parking in front and a ramp to facilitate access to the building. Gilead Lutheran Church

Please join us at Gilead Lutheran Church as we continue in our 277th year serving the community of Brunswick and surrounding communities with worship and outreach. Gilead is located on 308 Brick Church Road (Intersection of Route 278 and Route 7) in Center Brunswick. We invite you to join us as we continue our missions inside and outside the community and within our congregation. We provide God’s message, in a traditional liturgical setting, each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Gilead provides a free community dinner and food pantry the last Thursday of the month, Story Dinners every other month with free-will donations going to local charities and other outreach programs during the year. We welcome you to know us in both settings and renew and refresh your heart and soul for the week.

Our next outreach is the community dinner and pantry, Thursday, February 28, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
