Sunday services are at 8:00 and 9:30 with Father John Scott presiding. Coffee hour will be in the Hearth Room between and after services.

Hot Mess Crafters meets on Wednesday at 10:00. We have patterns for wine bottle covers that are an easy, fun project. We invite you to join us. We have a supply of yarn available for your use thanks to the generous donations we have received.

On Wednesday evening Bible Study is at 6:00. We are entering the final phase of the journey to the Promised Land will learn what God requires of us in times of prosperity and discuss what the Israelites needed to learn in the desert before entering into the Promised Land.

Come at 5:30 to share pizza and salad.

When tragedy happens we try to understand and explain why, sometimes saying “Everything happens for a reason” or “God has plan” or “God needs one more angel”. Pastor Charlie’s five-week sermon series will begin Sunday, January 19th,. Come to Salem Church, 349 Shaver Road, West Sand Lake, every Sunday at 10:45am. Let us think, talk and pray together.

Cabin Fever Coffee House

Welcome one and all to this upcoming Cabin Fever Coffee House at the First United Methodist Church, 1 Gilligan Rd. East Greenbush. It looks like we are having a cold, sometimes warm, snowy and icy winter so please mark your calendars to join us the third Friday in January for fun and fellowship! We have a roster of talented performers and will serve delicious foods…no need to keep any New Year’s resolutions as our food is calorie free. Your dollar contributions will continue to help local families in need of food, medicines, heat and gas. See you on the 17th at 7:00pm.

K of C Hoop Shoot Breakfast and Contest

Join us January 19th for the monthly K of C All You Can Eat Pancake breakfast at St Jude the Apostle School in Dammann Hall from 8am-11am. Kids 5 and under are FREE, adults $8, kids under 12 $4.

Then, return to Dammann Hall Monday January 20th at 5:45pm and have your 9-14 year old boy or girl compete in our annual Hoop Shoot contest! Free to participate and trophy’s will be awarded! Top finishers go on the compete regionally.

Center Brunswick United Methodist Church Announces Financial Scholarship for 2020

The Finance Committee of the Center Brunswick United Methodist Church has announced that it will award $500 to a student to be selected from the Tamarac High School Class of 2020. The money may be used for any type of expenses related to further education. Students do not have to belong to this Church, any other church or religion to be eligible for this award.

Interested students must apply for this award no later than March 1, 2020. The application can be obtained from the school’s guidance department or from our website at (www.CenterBrunswickUMC.company).

This award is given in memory of Harold and Mabel Keyes through a trust funded by their last will and testament. Mabel taught in the Brunswick schools and continued teaching Sunday School at Center Brunswick UMC for many years after she retired. Through this award, her love of helping young people learn and grow will continue to reach the youth of our community.

The Center Brunswick Methodist Church is located at the intersection of Routes 7 and 142 in Troy.
