Third Presbyterian Church (115 Winter Street, Troy) will be offering a series of presentations to answer these and other questions of faith. Join us on November 18th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM as we consider questions about Jesus – Who He is? Why is He important?

Melrose United Methodist Blue Christmas Service

Melrose United Methodist Church will host its annual Blue Christmas Service on December 5th, 7:00 pm, at the Melrose UMC, located at the corner of route 40 and Church St. in Melrose.

The Blue Christmas Service is especially for people who are mourning, who have or are experiencing loss or for persons who have other reasons for not feeling particularly joyful at Christmas.  Christmas can be a painful time for some.

It may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died; it may be a time that has always been difficult.  At this time of the year, our spirits often sink, as the days grow shorter and the darkness grows deeper around us.

Blue Christmas is an ecumenical community service of scripture, prayer and music during advent for those who struggle, who mourn and any who find celebrating difficult.  If this Christmas season is difficult for you, come and begin your advent with worship.  Everyone, regardless of church background is welcome.
