North Greenbush Public Library Update

NORTH GREENBUSH – In celebration of Thanksgiving, the library will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27. We will reopen Saturday, November 28 at 10 AM.

To enhance your holiday family-time, pick up one of our Thanksgiving take-home crafts. For teens and adults, we have a turkey corner-bookmark and a no-sew cup-cozy, with an instructional tutorial on our YouTube page to help create the cozy. Younger children and families have a DIY Thanksgiving picture frame and a make-your-own-turkey papercraft. Craft kits will be available through Grab ‘N’ Go pick-up while supplies last.

As we have just honored our veterans, it’s appropriate to remember the women who contributed to our freedoms. New to our collection is ‘The Women With Silver Wings: The Inspiring True Story Of The Women Airforce Service Pilots Of World War Il’ by Katherine Sharp Landdeck. Over 1,100 women from across the nation passed the Army’s rigorous selection process to become a part of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). Call the library to reserve a copy.

The library schedule includes Saturday. Our hours for appointments and Grab ’N’ Go are Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat 10 AM to 2 PM; Tue/Thur 3-7 PM. All patrons must wear a mask for both appointments and Grab ’N’ Go. Call the library at 518-283-0303.
