Berlin Free Town Library

Berlin Free Town Library is pleased to announce our annual Book and Bake Sale. It will be held on Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 1 pm. We have many gently used paperbacks and hard cover books for sale. Romance and mystery novels, cookbooks, children’s books and many more. The proceeds from this sale are used to fund events and programs that we put on throughout the year. After you have loaded up your bag with books, stop on by the baked goods table. I’m sure you can find something for your sweet tooth. We are located at 47 S. Main Street in Berlin, NY. Like us on Facebook for updates.

New “Sand Lake Town Library Friends” Group Forming

“Sand Lake Town Library Friends” recently held their second organizational meeting. We are looking for a few additional people who would like to be part of this exciting group! At this stage, we are working to create a vibrant committee of people who share their talents to get the “SLTL Friends” group off the ground. Results of 2020 North Greenbush Public Library Annual Budget Vote

The Board of Trustees of the North Greenbush Public Library thanks the voters of the North Greenbush Library District for their overwhelming support for the 2020 budget. The proposed budget received a yes vote on 95% of the ballots cast in the annual election held on September 12, 2019. Census 2020 Information Session: Mon. 9/30 3pm The 2020 Census is fast approaching! Responding is easy, safe—and important. Help your community count & attend this 2020 Census presentation.

Teen Cafe: Mon. 9/30 6-8pm-Teens can hang out in our new teen area! We’ll have games, crafts, tea, hot cocoa, and snacks. Pop in the check out the new TEEN space! 11+

Ukulele Lessons: Tues. 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29 6:30pm- This four-class introductory course is designed to get you started on the ukulele. A suggested donation of $20 to the library will help to offset the cost of the program. Please call the library to register. Attending all 4 classes is required for registration. Bring your own ukulele. Ages 12+

Library Writing Center: Are you writing for pleasure, school, or business? We can help you through the writing process: pre-writing, revising, and/or citing sources. Please call the library to reserve a one-half hour time slot Tuesdays from 2-5 PM. Bring what you’ve written in printed form, a USB, or on your laptop computer. Ages 14 and older.

Library Computer Skills Lab: So, you finally got a laptop computer! Now you aren’t sure how to create a document or a spreadsheet. Call the library to sign up for a one-half hour session on Thursdays from 2-5 PM to learn basic computer skills for success. Bring your laptop computer with you to the session or use one of ours. Ages 18 and older.

Sand Lake Town Library Events

Storytime – Thursdays at 11:30am. Learn early literacy skills and strategies with your pre-schooler while enjoying stories, rhymes and a simple craft. Learn about the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program while you are here.

Pre-school Playtime – Friday, September 27 at 11am. Drop in with your pre-schooler to meet and play with other pre-schoolers. We have duplo blocks, Potato Heads, and more.

Artist Reception – Tuesday, October 1, 11:30 – 1pm. Meet the artists from Brunswick Center and learn about the art in their latest showcase, “Pieces of my Heart.” Light refreshments will be provided.
