The Book Seller is Open
TROY – The Book Seller, a project of The Friends of the Troy Public Library, is open each Saturday from 10-2 at the Lansingburgh Library, 27 114th St. There are new “gently used” books on the shelf each week, and a safe environment to browse. All proceeds support programs, services and purchases which enhance the Library buildings and the experience of the patrons.
North Greenbush Public Library Update
NORTH GREENBUSH – Let’s support our library by browsing and buying at the garage sale on Saturday, Sept. 26, hosted by the Friends of the North Greenbush Public Library, at 56 Streamview Lane, Wynantskill from 9 AM to 3PM. The Friends provide a valuable service to the library, raising monies, developing community programs, and advocating for the library. Interested in genealogy? Craving a new movie to watch, music to listen to, comic to read? Need to get a head-start on research now that school is gearing up? The library has it all! You can access Ancestry Library Edition from home and start your family tree; use the digital service Hoopla to borrow movies, music, comics and more that can be viewed on your electronic devices; or log into Overdrive to borrow eBooks, audiobooks, streaming video, and digital magazines. A new fall-themed take-home craft kit for ages 4+ will be available starting Monday, Sept. 21. Call the library for Grab ’N’ Go pick-up or by appointment to enter the library. Each patron appointment is limited to 20 minutes, for browsing the collection, to print, copy, or fax. Grab ’N’ Go and appointment hours are Mon/Wed/Fri 10 AM to 2 PM, and Tue/Thur 3 PM to 7 PM.
