Shorts Out Loud at the Lansingburgh Branch of the Troy Public Library

TROY – The Troy Public Library is pleased to present “Shorts Out Loud!” consisting of fifteen minutes of LIVE acoustic music followed by a contemporary short story read out loud, on Thursdays through August 19th at 6:30 PM on the lawn at our Lansingburgh Branch.

Virtual Comic Drawing Workshop with Ira Marcks

TROY – The Troy Public Library will host a Virtual Comic Drawing Workshop with Ira Marcks on Monday, August 16th at 6PM.

In this one hour, all ages, workshop Ira will share a look at the creative process behind his new book and lead you through a fun and easy cartooning project. To follow along all you’ll need is a pencil and paper. This interactive workshop is for comics fans of all ages and abilities. Be sure to stick around until the end of the workshop for a chance to win a signed copy of Shark Summer!

Joining the presentation will require the installation of the Zoom client on your computer (microphone and speakers required for audio, camera for video) or the Zoom app on your mobile device.

Meditation Group

TROY – The Troy Public Library will offer Meditation Classes on Tuesdays, through September 28th at 2PM at our Lansingburgh Branch.

Are you interested in learning how to relax your mind and body? Come to a safe place to let go of your cares and worries. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, all are welcome. Bring your ideas and suggestions to the group!
