EAST GREENBUSH – Community Archival Project – We’re collecting photographs, recipes, artwork, drawings, typed or handwritten journals and reflections that depict our strength, resilience, and enduring response to the global pandemic. Summer Reading Challenge is June 15 – August 14: Imagine Your Story is this year’s theme. Play online with Beanstack, which allows participants of all ages to track their reading, complete fun challenges, earn badges and prizes! Adults who prefer our traditional game cards can download/print a copy from our website or pick up at our drive-thru window while supplies last. North Greenbush Public Library Update

NORTH GREENBUSH – The North Greenbush Public Library will begin a careful, phased process of returning limited in-person service, by appointment only, beginning Monday, July 13. Appointment times are M/W/F between 10 am and 2 pm; Tu/Th between 3 pm and 7 pm. Appointments are limited to 20 minutes, to make copies, print, fax or browse for items, allowing only three patrons an hour in the library to accommodate social distancing, cleaning and disinfecting. All patrons entering the library must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth. Please call the library at 518-283-0303 to make an appointment. The library’s Grab ’N’ Go pick-up option will continue during this time.

Remember–it’s not too late to sign up for Summer Reading! Our program has gone online this year. We’ve partnered with ReadSquared to create an online summer reading challenge for all ages– adults, teens and children. Win prizes! Take home themed crafts! Go scavenger hunting and take a StoryWalk! Our phased reopening plan is based on guidance from the state, CDC, WHO and Upper Hudson Library System, placing the highest priority on the health and well-being of you, our patrons, and our staff. Nassau Free Library News

NASSAU – We are happy to announce that you can now visit our library by appointment! In-building library service is now available by appointment between the hours of 3-6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments will last a maximum of 25 minutes. Please call (518)766-2715 to schedule a visit. Masks are required for entry into the library. We are re-imagining our Summer Reading Program at the Nassau Free Library! The Summer Reading Program is a great way to learn over the summer and keep up brain power while having fun. This year we are introducing Readsquared, an online option for recording reading minutes, playing mini-games, and more. Go to nasaufreelibraryny11.readsquared.com to create an account and learn more about the Readsquared app. Also visit our website, www.nassaufreelibrary.org, and our Facebook page to download and print out traditional reading logs & bingo sheets to complete at home. We will also have printed bingo sheets for reading minutes outside the library doors available. Visit the website to learn about our new Take Home Art Kits available for pickup starting July 6th. The Nassau Free Library Summer Reading Program will host virtual programs, prizes, and summer reading book club, for all ages.
