CASTLETON – Although our building is currently closed to the public, Castleton Public Library continues to offer free access to eBooks, digital audiobooks, digital magazines, movies, TV series, and the ability to use Ancestry Library Edition from the comfort of your home. All you need is your library card! Don’t have a library card? It’s easy, fast, and free to sign up for a temporary online-access card to borrow digital materials. The library is also offering virtual storytimes, kids science offerings, a virtual book club for adults, and more! EAST GREENBUSH – Returning borrowed materials during library & book drop closure:

The due dates for all checked out circulating materials will be extended until after we reopen. No late fees will accrue on materials that were originally due during the closure period. Any fines/fees accrued before the closure will remain on the account until paid. Go to eglibrary.org FAQ section for more information.

Sand Lake Town Library – Community Cookbook

SAND LAKE – While we’re staying at home, many of us are cooking more than usual. With that in mind, our Upper Hudson Library System is going to put together a downloadable cookbook full of all of our favorite recipes! If you have a favorite recipe or something new you’ve created during our self-isolation, why not share it? Email your recipes & pictures to info@nullsandlaketownlibrary.org with the subject line “Cookbook Challenge” or mail them to Sand Lake Town Library, 8428 Miller Hill Road, Averill Park, NY 12018 by July 1st. Happy cooking!

North Greenbush Public Library Update

NORTH GREENBUSH – We hope this finds everyone healthy and well! Even though our library remains closed, we are still available via phone or email to answer any questions you may have. Virtual Book Chat-Join us Monday, May 11 at 6:30 for an online virtual book chat using Zoom. Are you interested in joining an online book club? Let’s chat about it! The library is happy to organize it. We will also chat about what we’ve been reading lately and what everyone has been doing to stay occupied during this period of isolation. Check out the library Facebook page for the Zoom meeting login info.

NGPL Stay Home Bingo–Getting a little bored staying at home? How about lightening things up by joining us for a little Stay at Home Bingo! Complete the activities and turn in your completed Bingo sheet to the Circulation Desk when we reopen for a fun prize. New bingo sheets will be added every 2 weeks until we reopen. The NG Town Historian wants to chronicle the experiences of people as they cope with the COVID-19 virus in their daily lives.The information provided will be anonymous and will be saved to give future generations a sense of what we are living through today. Some thoughts to consider–how has your daily routine changed as a result of COVID-19? How are your children handling school at home?
