Pottery & Poetry Workshop – Troy Public Library

LANSINGBURGH – Join us at the Troy Public Library, Mondays, March 30th & April 6th at 6:00pm, for free pottery instruction. In this 2 part workshop led by Biana Depuis of the Broken Mold Studio we will be creating a project inspired by poetry. You must attend both sessions to complete the project. We will make a hand built vessel out of clay, and experience different hand building techniques to create a beautiful work of art.

This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by The Arts Center of the Capital Region.

Climate Change: Heading for Extinction (And What to Do About It)

TROY – Join us at the Troy Public Library on Saturday, April 4th at 2PM as the Extinction Rebellion joins us to discuss the latest climate science.

In this public talk, climate speakers from Extinction Rebellion, will share the latest climate science on where our planet is heading, discuss some of the current psychology around climate change, and offer solutions through the study of social movements.
