Hello Warrior fans! Our varsity teams saw a busy week leading up to spring break.
The boys lacrosse team had a big 19-1 win over Troy on 4/12. Ethan Jamison led the team with 4 goals and 3 assists. Jacob Phelps and Nick Rogers both had 3 goals in the win as well. The lacrosse team stayed undefeated on the week, beating Albany 16-1 on 4/14. Jacob Phelps led the boys with 5 goals while Ethan Jamison and Tyler Kalinowski each had 3. The lacrosse team hopes to stay hot in their next game against Burnt Hills on 4/22.
The girls lacrosse team defeated Albany on 4/14 with a 14-6 final score. Gwen Jamison led the girls with 6 goals. Lilli Vanderkar and Gianna Geraci each had 3 goals while Lizzie Hansen and Libby Bulmer each added a goal. Ellie Garrison had 6 saves. The girls team takes on Burnt Hills on 4/22 for their next game.
The baseball team shut out Troy 2-0 on 4/11. Aidan Mccue pitched the entire game, striking out 6 batters. Alex Yash had an RBI single that propelled the boys to victory. The baseball team defeated Albany on 4/15 to keep their undefeated season alive. The boys take on Scituate high school in their next game on 4/22.
The softball team beat Troy 7-2 on 4/11. Maisie Dawson went 3-4 on the day with an RBI while Abbey Nagel went 2-4 with an RBI. Ava Faragon went 1-2 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Taylor Schoonmaker earned the win for the girls. The softball team travels to Burnt Hills on 4/23 for their next game.
The tennis team swept Troy on 4/11 with a 9-0 final score. Singles winners were Zach Ryan, Christian Romer, Cavan Hicks, Greg Effman, Thomas Nero, and Tyler Michaels. Doubles winners were Jason Strickland & Ryan Richter, Kyle Millington & Owen Perala, and Dylan Juneau & Cooper Smith. The boys team fell 8-1 against Albany on 4/13. The doubles team of Kyle Millington & Owen Perala picked up the win. The tennis team travels to Burnt Hills for their next game on 4/23.
The boys track team won their meet on 4/12, beating Ballston Spa 103-72 and Troy 123-37. The girls track team also won their meet, defeating Ballston Spa 91-80 and Troy 102-59. The track teams will travel to Columbia on 4/26 for their next meet.
