Hello Warrior fans! It was a historic week for Averill Park sports.

The girls basketball team defeated Catholic High 77-50 in the Class A semifinals on 3/2. Taylor Holohan led the Warriors with 24 points along with 12 blocks and 11 rebounds. Seniors Amelia Wood and Michelina Lombardi added 22 and 14 points respectively. The girls beat Burnt Hills 61-46 on 3/5 to claim their eighth straight Class A championship. Taylor Holohan was named tournament MVP after scoring 19 points in the win. Amelia Wood was named to the all-tournament team thanks to her 19 points in the championship game as well. Congratulations to the girls basketball team on securing another Class A title!

The boys basketball team fell 66-36 to Hudson Falls in the Class A quarterfinals on 2/27. Congrats to the boys team on a great season!
